Loading ...Created for violinist Don V. Lax to promote and sell his unique experimental CD blending classical violin with didgeridoo and whale song. Recorded live in it’s entirety within a submersible craft, Don and Melissa “communed” with humpback whales by using a hydrophone that picked up the whale’s haunting songs.
A subtle effect using Adobe Flash sets the mood for this site by displaying a majestic whale sunning itself just below the surface of the water with rays of light shimmering off of its back. Short samples of each track from the CD can be listened to using a simple MP3 player that I created using Flash, and several other MP3s may be downloaded directly from the site that showcase Don’s previous recordings that are also available for sale.
